Stem-cell group sues noted movie producer over failed film project
The World Stem Cell Foundation in Del Mar says former Universal Pictures president Thom Mount received $1.5 million to make a full-length “docudrama” about Stemedica Cell Technologies, a San Diego biotech company. But the movie was never made, and the nonprofit organization wants Mount to return the money.
