Stanford scientists turn liposuction leftovers into embryonic-like stem cells

Stanford scientists use fat from liposuction to create cells that someday could be used to build tissues for new hearts or other organs. This advance could end the stem cell debate by creating a stand-in that doesn’t use embryos or eggs.
